For all of you who are fans of the 1946 classic film, "It's a Wonderful Life," starring Jimmy Stewart and Donna Reed, you may be happy to hear that the 1919 Dodge Brother's car that was driven into a tree by Mr. Stewart when he was drunk is still around, and driven as well. The couple hails from Johnstown, Colorado and are avid car collectors. The car was once owned by 20th Century Fox in 1946 when the movie was made. The proof of ownership is the plate that is on the dash of the car. It most recently was owned by a collector in California who had it for the past 38 years.
In case you are wondering, the movie was not a success when it came out and did not make much money. However, over the years it has become one of the most popular films of all time. NBC holds the rights for airing and Paramount Pictures holds the distribution rights. For more on this story go to greenlytribune.com
