Hailee Steinfeld had to learn how to shoot a gun for the film, "True Grit." She had gone to a gun range for practicing how to shoot.

Hailee Steinfeld, the 14 year old co-star of, "True Grit" is up for a Golden Globe award for her supporting role in the film directed by the Cohen Brothers. Haylee has acted only once before in a "K Mart" commercial and she had pointed out to Hoda Kopkee and Jimmy Fallon on the "Today Show" that he had to audition more for the commercial than she had for the part in "True Grit." She stated that she had to audition 7 times to get the K Mart commercial and only 3 times for, "True Grit." She had auditioned for "True Grit on a Saturday, and found out that she got the part of the following Tuesday.
Ms Steifeld was selected out of 1500 kids who had tried out for the part. Haylee is 5'7" is is only 14 years old. She will be co-presenting the Golden Globe Award with Justin Bieber.
