Nicholas Brooks was born in London on February 8, 1986. His father is Academy award winner for writing the 1977 song, "You Light up My Life." He also wrote and directed the movie with the same name. Most recently his father, who is 72 years old is facing problems of his own for being accused of raping 11 women. The accusations were that he would lure them to his apartment, then promise them roles in a movie, then rape them.Sources say that his father has not spoken to Nicholas since the death of Sylvie and was not aware that he had a girlfriend.
Nicholas went to a private school in the Bronx. Sources say it was, "Horace Mann." but that is not confirmed. Horace Mann is an very competitive school with no time to fool around.
Nicholas Brooks grew up on the Upper East Side of Manhattan and was used to hanging out with kids who were privileged. He went off to the University of Colorado, and recently came home.
Not sure if he graduated, but it was suggested that he did not have a job. He did have the reputation of being a party boy. One of his neighbors had stated that he had to call the police on several occasions for the disturbances Mr Brooks and his friends made in the apartment.
