Matthew Paige Damon was born on October 8, 1970 in Cambridge Massasachuttes. His father was a stock broker and mother, a Professor at Lesley University. He is distant cousin to Ben and Casey Afflect. He attended Harvard University between 1998-1992, but did not graduate.
Matt's first feature film was, "Mystic Pizza" in 1988, where he only had one line.
Ben Afflect's and Matt Damon's salary was only 500 thousand dollars in 1997 for "Good Will Hunting" while the film earned 225 million dollars. In 2003, Damon was in Miami working on "Stuck on You," where he met his wife who was working as bartender. The couple married 2 years later, on December 9, 2005 in a private ceremony. Today, the couple have 4 girls ages; 8 weeks, 2, 4, and 12 years old. Damon stated in a recent interview,'no more kids, we are happy where we are.'
Damon's latest film, "True Grit," by the Cohen brothers, and based on the novel and is the most faithful film adaptation to the novel. It has the scenery of the "old west." This is the second western that Mr. Damon had starred in, the last was the 1993, "Geranamo, An American Legend." He has a reputation in Hollywood as being one of the nicest guys you will ever meet.
