Billy Joel's Former, "Uptown Girl," Christie Brinkley is going Midtown, to Broadway's "Chicago"

Christie Brinkley was born on February 2, 1954 in Monroe Michigan to Herb and Marjorie Hudson. After her parents divorced, her mother moved to L.A. and married TV writer, Don Brinkley. Christie had taken on her stepfather's name. She was educated at Pacific Palisades high school and later went on to Paris to study art in 1973. She was discovered by a photographer in Paris that same year and led to a highly successful career as a model.   She came to fame as the Sports Illustrated bathing suit issue in 1979.  She has been featured on the cover of the Sports Illustrated Issues for 3 years in a row; 1979, 1980 and 1981. Ms. Brinkley has been featured on more than 500 magazine covers, and she is the only model to ever get a 20 year contract with makeup company, Cover Girl. On a personal note, Christie has been married 4 times and her most publicized marriage was to  singer, songwriter, Billy Joel from,1985-1994.  The couple had one daughter, Alexa Rae, who is also a singer.
Ms Brinkley is on Broadway  in the musical, Chicago as, Roxie Hart. It should be noted that the real uptown girl was, model, Elle Macpherson who was with Christie in St Barths when they met.  Many people refer to Christie as the "Up Town" girl because she was in the music video for the song.
