James Franco and Anne Hathaway: How did they do co-hosting the 83rd Annual Oscars?

James Franco and Anne Hathaway co-hosted the 83rd annual Oscar award show on ABC
Anne Hathaway and James Franco were misplaced as co-hosts for a Academy awards show for 2011. It was not their fault that they did not do such a good job; they are actors, and not used to performing in front of an audience. The eight dress changes that Anne made added nothing to the show, and James did not look that happy hosting.  The show should have been hosted by a comedian,  for  a comic knows how to work the audience to make people laugh.  If you look the history of the awards ceremony that we provided on the day of the show, you will see that the majority of the hosts for the Academy awards since 1929 were comedians. Bob Hope, Billy Crystal, Whoopi Goldberg, Conan O'brien, Johnny Carson are a few of the many comics on the list of hosts. The show set was also a problem, for it was very dark and depressing looking.  The director and the producers of the show were the people  who were in charge of the look and content of the show. They were probably responsible for picking the hosts too.   Next year is another year, and hopefully a comedian will be hosting.
