Jennifer Lopez was born in the Bronx, New York on July 24, 1969.  She was raised in Castle Hill, and has 2 younger sisters.  She got her big break in Hollywood when she was booked as a dancer on, In Living Color as a dancer. From there she went to singing and movies. Selena is the movie that made stand out as an actress.  She has done 7 studio albums, 24 feature films and now she is a judge on American Idol.  She has brought a lot of attention to the show with her soft side and fashions. She is 42 years old, and looks like she is 30.  It is nice to see her make a comeback. Forget the J Lo, she is now "J Wow!"

"American Idol" has just entered it's tenth season with a 2 hours special. The two new judges; Steven Tyler and Jennifer Lopez appeared to be enjoying their new post. Randy Jackson is the only original judge who kept his seat. Both new judges appeared to be very easy going and did not appear to be hard on contestants who were not good. Steven Tyler came across as more focused on his job and was very friendly with the contestants. Jennifer Lopez was very spirited. It will be interesting to see if the judges get tougher on the contestants as the show proceeds.

New "American Idol" Judges Speak Out about Show and Talent

Steven Tyler was born, Stephen Victo Vallarico in Yonkers, New York on March 26, 1948. He is 62 years old. He grew up in Boston and in 1964 got started in the music industry. At one point he had a heavy drug addition and has stayed clean for 20 years. He is known for the Boston based group, Aerosmith.





Jennifer Lopez was born in the Castle Hill part of the Bronx, New York on July 24, 1969. She is 41 years old. She got her break in the entertainment industry as a dancer for, the TV show, "In Living Color."


"American Idol" new judges Steven Tyler and Jennifer Lopez. The entire cast from the show were guests on "The Tonight Show" with Jay Leno. The cast had reported that they were surprised that there was a lot of talent in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. They are focused on a younger group of talented people. Kids between 15 and 25 was ideal for them. Steven Tyler had admitted that he never saw the show before he signed up for being a judge. He will also be going on tour with his group, Aerosmith in 2011.
Jennifer Lopez had pointed out that she is looking for the complete package. She wants to see talent that will last.
