Lauren Velez

Lauren Velez born November 2, 1964.

After receiving a scholarship from Alvin Ailey Dance School, Lauren went
on tour with the musical "Dreamgirls". She then had a role in the cop
drama "New York Undercover". Lauren has had eight Alma Award
nominations and one win for her role in the HBO series "OZ", and has won
a Vision Award for Best Actress in the Showtime series "Dexter".
