OWN, Oprah Winfrey Network: Viewers are Down 17 % Day time and 34 % Prime time for 25-54 Aged Women

Media Daily News has reported: 'In its fifth full week of programming (1/31-2/6), OWN: The Oprah Winfrey Network was down 17% versus last week among women 25-54 in total day (40,000 versus 48,000), and down 34% among women 25-54 in prime time (54,000 versus 82,000), reports TV By The Numbers. For now, OWN is below last year's women 25-54 averages for Discovery Health.'

Fergie's Show on," OWN" to be Delayed Until the Summer

Fergie's show on OWN with Oprah Winfrey was scheduled to air in the Spring 2011, but not it has been pushed back until the Summer of 2011. It is only a 6 part series. We are not sure if Eugenie and Beatrice will be on it as well. The fact that she has the Royal wedding to attend, per haps she decided to wait until the date of April 29th.

Oprah Winfrey Network, OWN : How is the Network Doing?


"Entertainment Weekly" recently did a story on "OWN" and how it is doing. These are the numbers that had been included in the article. The OWN network was launched with one million viewers in prime time. On Sunday the number went down to 822,000. Monday the number went down again to 394,000. and on Tuesday the number went down again to 315,000.
The "OWN" Network is looking for female viewers between the ages of 25-54. The major competition they have is the "Oxygen" and "WE" networks for these demographics.
The CEO of "OWN" is, Christina Norman who stated,'the network is just starting and is on it's way to a goal of original programming.' The network needs more time before a judgment call can be made on the success.

Meet Some of the Stars on Oprah's "OWN" Network

Simon Cowell was born October 7, 1959. He will be a guest who was interviewed by Oprah. He will talk about things that he never talked about before.




Lisa Ling was born on August 30, 1973. She is from Sacramento, California. She had graduated from Del Campo High School and attended USC, the Univeristy of Southern California. She will travel across America doing stories.




Dr Phil was born September 1, 1950 in Vunita, Oklahoma. He will appear on a 4 part special called, "Ask Oprah's All Stars" with Dr Oz and Suze Orman.




Dr Mehmet Oz was born on June 11, 1960 in Delaware. He had done his undergraduate work at Harvard, then went on to U-Penn for a double MD and MBA from the Wharton School. He also teaches a class in the Medical School at Columbia University.

Oprah's is about to enter a new chapter in her life starting January 1, 2011. Rather than taking it easy, she had decided to put herself in a position where she will have to work harder than ever with her "OWN" Network. "OWN" stands for Oprah Winfrey Network.
How clever is that? Some of the shows scheduled to be on is: "Oprah Presents where there is one interview per show and you see the guest talk about something like they never had before. This includes; Jay-Z, Diane Sawyer and Simon Cowell. Lisa Ling will do a show traveling in America and there will be a 4 part special called, "Ask Oprah's All Stars," where Dr. Phil, Dr. Oz and Suze Orman are all on the same stage. Oprah was quoted as saying that, 'everything will be just fine' about her new chapter in her life. We wish her the best for the launch of her new network for she has been such a wonderful role model for all of us.

Fergie is about to go Hollywood with a reality TV show that will air on OWN, the Oprah Winfrey Network. The show will be called, "Finding Sarah." The 51 year old duchess of York has been an outcast of the royal family for more than 18 years.
She still shares a home in Windsor with prince Andrew, called the "Royal Lodge."
Ms Ferguson was in hot water in 2010 when she was caught on tape for trying to sell access to her X-husband, Prince Andrew for about 700,000 dollars. The reality show will be a 6 part series focusing on the usual: money, reltionships and weight.
