Ernest Borgnine was born on January 24,1917 in Hamden Connecticut. His real name was Ermes Effron.   Borgnino.  Both of his parents were from Italy. His parents had settled in North Haven, Connecticut. In 1935 Mr . Borgnine had joined the navy and in 1941, he had rejoined again. He was in the Navy for a total of ten years. His first big break in acting was in 1951, when he was in "Capt. video and His Video Rangers. Later Ernest Borgnine had moved on to do McHale's Navy in 1962.  He was in show business for more than 60 years and more than 164 films.  He is currently 94 years old and is still acting.  His latest role is.  Mr. Borgnine had been married 5 times, and is married for more than 38 years to his current wife, Tova
